Will he stay or will he go? Mixed signals from Irons target Lindegaard

The future of reported Manchester United's Anders Lindegaard is as unclear as ever, after the goalkeeper, who has been reported to be in talks with West Ham in recent weeks, rubbished on Twitter reports that he is set to leave Old Trafford this summer, yet gave an interview to the Daily Mirror over the weekend hinting at an exit.

The Denmark international tweeted today, saying "fictional conclusions from old interviews in today's newspapers. Subjective journalism as bad as it can be. #keepbelieving".

Yet Lindegaard, 28, was quoted on the Mirror's website last night as saying that "it's not easy being on the bench.. everyone wants to play and I'm not any different from everyone else."

The Express claimed on Monday that United are conducting negotiations to sell the keeper, so this story is unlikely to go away in the near future.
