Damn it, Granit! Hammers target happy in Germany

Reported West Ham transfer target Granit Xhaka has told the Rheinische Post that he is content to remain at Borussia Monchengladbach- for the time being.

The 20 year old Swiss has made just 11 Bundesliga starts after signing from Basel in his home country last summer and has been linked with a move abroad, with Lazio also reportedly interested. Manchester United and Arsenal both also tried to sign Xhaka before the move to Germany.

Irons boss Sam Allardyce tried to sign the exciting young attacker in February, and could be poised to make a second attempt in the summer, but Xhaka says he is not thinking about another move so early in his career.

"There are rumours, this is true, but now is not the time to talk about it. I've had little game time, but Borussia is where I like to be and I want to pick up trophies with them."
