Loic who it is! Hammers plot summer swoop for QPR star Remy

West Ham manager San Allardyce is planning to make a move for QPR striker Loic Remy- in the event that the R's are relegated, according to the Sun.

The France international, who the Irons previously tried to sign from former club Marseille in summer 2010, has been a big hit since signing in January, topping the QPR scoring charts with 5 goals in all competitions, and with a reported release clause of just £8m would potentially prove better value for money than a £17m move for on loan Liverpool centre forward Andy Carroll or a £14m deal for Ivory Coast star Wilfried Bony.

Remy could be just one of many players leaving Loftus Road this summer, with both the Mirror and the Guardian reporting this morning that QPR owner Tony Fernandes is keen to offload as many of the club's highly-paid prima donnas as possible, in order to balance the wage bill.

The Hammers are not alone in their admiration of the 26 year old however, with London rivals Tottenham also keen to land the pacy frontman, so a transfer war could well be on.
