The one-time England midfielder signed for an original £7m last summer, with the rest of the money conditional on clauses. However, co-chairman David Gold has today stated that all of those clauses have been met, so the Hammers will be splashing out an eventual fee on Jarvis which will break the club's record transfer fee and push the deal up to £10.25m.
The 26 year old has only scored two goals this season for the club, but finally looks like he's settled in and is upbeat about his future in East London, saying today that he 'felt the pressure of the price tag' but he is 'very happy here' and believes he and his teammates can make a real impact on the league in the coming seasons.
