Gal no pal of Albion- midfielder blamed for Mulumbu red card

West Ham midfielder Gary O'Neil has revealed to the Newham Recorder that a West Bromwich Albion player accused him of getting Youssouf Mulumbu sent off in the Premier League match on Saturday.

The Hammers were 3-0 ahead thanks to a brace from England striker Andy Carroll and a delicate chip from O'Neil himself when the Baggies' midfielder took his frustration out by petulantly lashing the ball at the former Portsmouth star.

"I caught his boot when I was chasing him- nothing intentional, and he'd probably trodden all over me all afternoon," explained the in-form midfielder.

"Anyway, he decided he'd had enough and picked the ball up and booted it at me. Then one of their players told me it was my fault that he'd been sent off, which was nice. A strange little episode; we got the three points though and that's all that matters."

A strange episode indeed.. guess some people just can't handle defeat..
