They're Ol at it: West Brom's Olsson reveals desire to play in the capital

West Bromwich Albion's Jonas Olsson has told Sports Direct News of his wish to play for a London club, putting West Ham, who were reportedly tracking the 29 year old last summer, on red alert.

The Swedish international, who has 3 years left on his contract at the Hawthorns, would like to play in London one day, but says he is in no rush.

"I said in the past that I would like to play for a London club but I'm almost 30 and that's not a big age for a centre half. It's important to have dreams you want to fulfil but I'm happy here (at West Brom).

The Baggies star is an ambitious individual and accepts nothing short of the best- he is quoted in today's Mirror as saying that it is "important" that Albion progress every year and attract the best players and "go in the right direction"- in other words, should Steve Clarke's men falter at the end of the season and fail to finish in the top eight as Olsson wants, then his feelings towards the club and his short term future may well change.

Olsson was also targeted by QPR during the January transfer window, and a move away from the Midlands could well be on the cards in the summer; in all probability to the Boleyn Ground if Rangers don't stay up- it seems unlikely that the defender will want to drop down a division at this stage of his career.
