Beat Liverpool and we can make the top ten- Diame

West Ham star Mohammed Diame has said that a win at Anfield tomorrow would be the perfect springboard to push the Irons onto a top ten finish as the Premier League season draws to a close.

The Hammers haven't won at Liverpool for over 50 years, when Geoff Hurst was on the scoresheet but Senegal midfielder Diame told West Ham TV that there is no reason why he and his teammates can't break the club's duck.

"We just have to take the three points on Sunday- Anfield's a great stadium and we have to show the fans we can play well and win this game. It's not a case of revenge (for the 3-2 defeat at the Boleyn Ground earlier in the season) but we always want to win and this game's important for us to make sure we stay in the Premier League."

The 25 year old says the top ten is still very much in West Ham's sights and that they can really make a push for it by winning on Sunday.

"We're on our way to hitting the top ten, we're going to keep working and make sure that at the end of the season, we're there. The support from the fans is always important, they're always behind the team and we always feel it."

Great to hear some fighting talk from the driving force of the side...
