Irons to face Wigan without crocked three

Blowing Bubbles understands that West Ham will take on Wigan Athletic at the Boleyn Ground tomorrow still under-strength, as playmaker Joe Cole and defenders James Tomkins and George McCartney are all set to miss out through injury.

Cole is still recovering from a recurring hamstring problem which flared up and forced him out of the 1-0 win at Stoke City last month, while centre half Tomkins will miss his second consecutive match as he fights his way back from a calf injury suffered in the draw at Southampton on Saturday. Left back McCartney has been suffering with a knee injury since December and despite comeback appearances, is believed to be out for the season.

In positive news, however, midfielder Mark Noble could be in line for his first start since suffering nerve damage in his arm in February, after making his return from injury as a substitute in the 2-2 draw against Manchester United on Wednesday night.
