Fulham are close to agreeing a deal to sign West Ham transfer target Fernando Amorebieta, according to the Daily Mail this morning.
The West Londoners have reportedly offered a four year contract to the Venezuelan international, who is expected to join in the summer on a free transfer when his contract at La Liga side Athletico Bilbao expires.
Hammers boss Sam Allardyce attempted to sign the 27 year old during the January transfer window and was thwarted, but was rumoured to be considering a second bid in the summer for the classy full back. However, both the Irons and Arsenal, who were also reported to be keen on Amorebieta, have lost out as the player appears to be set to join Martin Jol's side.
It happens.. only thing I'm sad about is that I don't think I can use the 'Amore.. O Amore' pun again!
