O'Neil looking forward to top half finish

West Ham midfielder Gary O'Neil has told West Ham TV that the Hammers are full of confidence and looking forward to the end-of-season run in after Saturday's win over Wigan Athletic took the club's unbeaten streak to five games.

"It's nice to be able to look up without worrying what's behind you," the former Middlesbrough star said last night.

"Wigan was a big three points for us, we managed to punish them twice and capitalise on the way they leave themselves open at the back."

"Three games in a week is really tough on the legs and mentally as well, so to keep the unbeaten run going was really important. We're looking forward to the last few games of the season ans seeing if we can finish in the top ten."

On Saturday's trip to the Etihad to face Manchester City, the 29 year old stated that "it's a tough place to go, but City are out of the title race now and we've been a little bit more solid on the road of late, so hopefully that'll help."
