Hammers hunt Fab Juventus forward

West Ham's hunt for a goalscorer continues, as today Italian football website ilcalcio24 report that the Irons are on the trail of Italian international Fabio Quagliarella. The 30 year old is one of Italian football's most recognisable names but after last month's signing of former Chelsea striker Nicolas Anelka, Quagliarella has found his opportunities in Turin limited of late. Despite this, the big striker has netted 10 goals in 21 games in Italy so far this season, but with La Vecchia Signora planning further signings in the summer, now would seem to be a good time for the ex-Torino starlet to move on, and a transfer to England could well be on the cards.
