Big Sam gives a Yoss: Irons chief interested in bringing playmaker Benayoun back to Upton Park

Should West Ham boss Sam Allardyce extend his contract and be given a good transfer budget, it looks like he could be interested in bring Yossi Benayoun back to Upton Park... again.

The Israeli midfielder was on a six-month loan with West Ham earlier in the season but injury brought him back to Stamford Bridge earlier than expected. Since his return to Chelsea, Benitez has played him twice.

Allardyce is remaining tight-lipped on transfer and contract speculation, but he told TalkSport: "I've not thought about that yet. It's about being safe then securing my position and seeing where we go.

"There will be lots of clubs chasing players who won't cost anything in terms of a transfer fee. He will be on our list probably but we will wait and see when the time comes around."

The loan deal was his second time at West Ham and if a third is on the cards, the East End is clearly somewhere Benayoun wants to be.
