Country calling for Hammers pair- Collison and Collins in Wales squad for World Cup qualifiers

West Ham will be represented on the international stage in the next couple of weeks after centre half James Collins and midfielder Jack Collison were both called up by the Welsh national side for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers.

Chris Coleman's side face a resurgent Scotland side at Hampden Park on the evening of March 22 before hosting Croatia four days later, and both players will want to help their country get positive results in both games, with Wales lying fifth in their 2014 World Cup qualifying group.

From a Hammers perspective, although we at Blowing Bubbles wish the lads all the best; given that both Collins and Collison have only recently come back from long term injuries, it would be rather pleasing if neither of them played; thus ruling out any risk of further injury. As far as we know, captain Kevin Nolan, fellow Mark Noble and defender James Tomkins are all still on the injury list and we really can't afford any more absentees with the games coming thick and fast now in the Premier League.
