Colonial cousins: Hammers international academy partners with Seattle United

West Ham United's International Academy (WHUIA) have signed a partnership agreement with a youth footballing development programme in the USA named Seattle United. The Hammers' programme exists for the purpose of discovering promising young players from overseas; such as Development Squad regular and U.S U23 international Sebastian Lletget; and bringing fresh young talent back to the Boleyn Ground.

The U.S club confirmed today that an agreement had been signed and that "as a partner club, Seattle United will hold a West Ham Academy Player Identification camp between July 8 to July 10.. and will have the unique opportunity to send players, teams and coaches to train at the world famous West Ham academy. Players excelling at the national camp in Seattle will be invited to train alongside West Ham Academy players in London."

This is certainly an exciting development for the club- and who knows, we could be soon seeing the next world superstar in claret and blue. Or, alternatively, the next Savio. Anyroadup, good news!
