Flipping Zek! Irons keeping tabs on young German striking prodigy- UPDATED


West Ham are said to be keeping a close eye on Borussia Dortmund youngster Daniel Ginczek.

The 21 year old is currently on loan to St Pauli in the 2nd Bundesliga and has impressed by scoring 12 goals so far in the campaign. He first shot to prominence in his home country after scoring 26 goals in 25 games in the German U17 league.

Ginczek has not yet played for the Dortmund first team after being loaned to Bochium last year, but he could be a rising star in Germany and West Ham scouts have been alerted to his talent and have reportedly been highly impressed, with one Hammers scout being quoted in German newspaper Hamburger Morgenpost as saying "this young man is terrific."

He has also gained international recognition at youth level and has established himself as a fixture in the German U21 side, for whom he has made 6 appearances, scoring 2 goals.

According to TalkSport, it is thought that West Ham will express their interest and line up a summer move.
