Hall or nothing: young striker expects news on groin injury- UPDATED

West Ham striker Rob Hall will this afternoon be told more on the extent of the injury which forced him to cut short his loan at Championship side Birmingham City. The 19 year old forward returned home to London the week before last after suffering what was originally reported as a groin injury, and which Hall himself confirmed to be a sports hernia. The Academy graduate had, before his injury, enjoyed a productive spell at St Andrews, providing numerous assists and becoming popular with the Blues' fans.

This afternoon, he will see a specialist for a more in-depth look at the extent of the injury, and revealed on Saturday that further action on the injury could be required; tweeting "Thanks for the nice comments about the injury, I THINK Thursday will have an op as have a sportsmans hernia. #LoveToAll".

Aylesbury-born Hall tweeted again last night confirming the news, saying "That was quick, got an operation Thursday #GodIsGood". A further update is expected after the operation some time towards the end of this week- as ever, we'll keep you bang up to date with the latest on this, so keep watching Blowing Bubbles!
