Rats! Hammers set to miss out on Romanian international as Marseille move in

West Ham look likely to miss out on the summer signing of Shakhtar Donetsk full back Razvan Rat as French giants Marseille look to tie up a deal for the 31 year old. Rat was on Sam Allardyce's radar during the January transfer window but no move materialised; however, a second attempt to sign the Romania international in the summer was a possibility. But this is now looking increasingly likely as the Europa League side have, according to TalkSport, offered Rat a two year contract in France and are  advanced negotiations with the player, with a deal expected to be confirmed within the next couple of weeks.
