EXCLUSIVE: Irons injury problems ameliorated- three first teamers to return in next fortnight

West Ham's injury woes look like they may be getting better, as Blowing Bubbles understands that key players Mark Noble, Matty Taylor and Joe Cole will all return to first team action in the next two weeks.

Midfielder Noble missed the defeat to Spurs and the win at Stoke through severed nerves in his arm; while winger Taylor and playmaker Cole both limped out of the win at the Britannia after suffering concussion and a hamstring injury respectively.

But we can exclusively reveal that ex Portsmouth man Taylor has returned to full first team training and is available for selection for this Sunday's London derby at Stamford Bridge; while local boy Noble will undergo a fitness test ahead of the clash and is expected to return at the latest on March 30, when West Bromwich Albion visit the Boleyn Ground. Meanwhile Cole, who suffered a reoccurrence of the same hamstring problem which has dogged him since his Chelsea days, will return against Albion. Captain Kevin Nolan is also believed to be making good progress with his toe injury suffered against Tottenham last month but the extent of the injury is still being assessed and an estimated return date is not yet known.

This is yet more good news for manager Sam Allardyce, after he was buoyed yesterday by the news that left back George McCartney has completed his recovery from a knee ligament damage which had kept him out of action since the start of December, and is available for selection on Sunday.

As ever, we'll keep you up to date with all the latest, so keep watching Blowing Bubbles!
