ITV News revealed last night that a new date for confirmation of West Ham's move to the OLympic Stadium has been decided. With drawn-out negotiations with the LLDC and the government still ongoing, Hammers co-chairman David Gold claimed on Twitter a fortnight ago that the move would be finalised and a club announcement made on 16 March, but no confirmation was forthcoming. However, negotiations are now believed to be at an advanced stage and the news is expected later this week; notably, the club are understood to be keeping the running track, freeing up any British bid for the 2022 Commonwealth Games; despite Gold claiming the other week that he "wouldn't go" to the stadium if the track was maintained.
