Get yer boots on Wellington! Brazilian striker set for Hammers chance at Stamford Bridge

Wellington Paulista could make his first team debut for West Ham against Chelsea on Sunday, TalkSport are reporting. The Brazilian striker has been in excellent form for the club's reserves and has netted four goals since moving on loan from Brazilian club Cruzeiro in January, but has not yet made his bow for the senior side. However, with a broken toe set to keep top scorer Kevin Nolan out of the London derby this weekend and with first choice strikers Andy Carroll and Carlton Cole having scored just 5 goals between them all season, Irons boss Sam Allardyce is reportedly ready to give the 29 year old his big chance, having seen him score yet again for the Development Squad in the 3-3 draw at Liverpool on Monday afternoon. A starting place is unlikely for the Brazilian, who did not travel to Dubai with the rest of the first team squad recently, claiming that staying in London to play for the reserves would help him improve his game more, but a place on the bench looks increasingly likely, with the team needing goals- and fast.
