Robinson deal nearly there

West Ham are close to completing a deal for Blackburn Rovers goalkeeper Paul Robinson, according to the East London and West Essex Guardian. Rumours began circulating yesterday morning that the one-time England number one was on his way to Upton Park, and by lunchtime, the word was that the 33 year old was in talks with the Hammers- and is believed to be in London today for a medical; having been told by the Ewood Park side that he was free to leave the club. The deal could potentially take young goalkeeper Stephen Henderson in the opposite direction as both clubs look to tie this one up before the window shuts tonight. We'll keep you posted!
