Irons on lookout for centre half

West Ham's business in the transfer window is far from concluded, according to Blowing Bubbles' sources. We've heard that Big Sam, having signed Austrian captain Emmanuel Pogatetz last night, is intending to deploy him in the left back position, where he will compete with Joey O'Brien for a starting place until first choice George McCartney is fit again; and the manager is keen to sign a left sided centre half, with James Collins still struggling with a hamstring injury and the extent of Winston Reid's groin ailment not yet clear. We'll bring you further news on likely targets as well as confirmation of any deals as soon as we hear it.
