West Ham have made a second attempt to sign Blackburn Rovers full back Martin Olsson. The Irons had a £4 million bid rejected last week but, according to Sports Direct News, have amended their offer by putting in various add-on clauses that could potentially take the offer up to £5 million. With the transfer window deadline only six days away and Rovers boss Michael Appleton admitting today that he's desperate to sign new players as his squad is "unbalanced," and the club's Indian owners' generosity in terms of transfer funds being tested, Blackburn may well be tempted by the improved offer from the Irons.
