Contrasting media reports over Diame- confusion reigns

The media are split, it seems, over the fate of Momo Diame. Sky Sports reported twenty minutes ago that the midfielder release clause written into his West Ham contract had been triggered. BBC Sport's Ben Smith, however, is adamant that he has "been assured by a very good source at West Ham that there has been no bid for Diame, yet." Hammers co-chairman David Sullivan's thirteen year old son, Jack, always a reliable source of West Ham news, just tweeted that "contrary to reports there has been no bid for Diame today from anybody." How much of the young Sullivan's tweet is fact and how much is what his dad is telling him to say until it's convenient to be truthful is open to debate; but the Diame saga, ambiguous all transfer window, is no clearer than it was at the start of the window.
