No bids for Magical Momo- Big Sam

Interviewed after last night's game against Arsenal, Sam Allardyce reassured fans that talismanic midfielder Mohammed Diame is going nowhere, with no bids having been made for his services. The Senegal international did not start last night's 5-1 defeat at Emirates stadium- prompting fears amongst some fans that the club had agreed a deal to sell him and were benching him to avoid possible injury and the deal falling through.

However, speaking to Sky Sports News after the game, Big Sam put the idea to bed that the clubs linked with the midfielder had made any kind of formal bid. "I don't think there's anything in the story," said the Hammers boss. "For me, it's just agents being disruptive- we've had no bids from Arsenal, Tottenham or any of the clubs that have been linked with him in the papers. he's our player now and hopefully and February 1 he'll still be our player." This is great for us fans to hear from the manager; it goes without saying that Momo Diame is an integral part of our team and the effects of his absence were clear for all to see in our defensive capitulation in the second half last night. As Big Sam says, hopefully it's all nonsense in the press.
