Hammers battle with Fulham for young French star

West Ham look set to be locked in a late bidding war with fellow Premier League club Fulham for French U21 international Fabrice N'Sakala. The Hammers have been linked with the highly rated 22 year old for much of the transfer window but the Cottagers now appear to be entering the fray as the transfer deadline approaches on Thursday. The Mirror reports today that both clubs are highly interested in the versatile youngster, who can play either as a box-to-box midfielder or as a full back, and who currently plays for Troyes in the second tier of French football. The Hammers' left back woes appear to be being resolved, with Emmanuel Pogatetz and Stephen Warnock both reportedly on the verge of signing at Upton Park, so N'Sakala would likely be deployed in the Irons' midfield if he signs.
