Irons legends to speak at fundraising event for cancer patient

Former West Ham stars Julian Dicks, Frank McAvennie and Alvin Martin are all set to speak at an event to raise money for Rebecca Warren, a terminal cancer sufferer.

Rebecca’s family want to raise money to send her to America for CyberKnife treatment, in the hope that her illness can be better treated than in the UK.

The Hammers legends will speak on March 29th at West Lodge Function Suite, Corbets Tey Road, Upminster. The event will start at 7.30pm, and there will also be signed memorabilia to win by raffle.

There will be a second event on April 12th with ex-Tottenham players Steve Perryman, Micky Hazard, Martin Chivers and Graham Roberts.

Rebecca’s sister Jakki said: “We have received fantastic support throughout the community, but we are a long way short of our target and are working hard to get to our target of £250,000.”

Tickets are priced between £35 and £45. To book a ticket call Gary Grant on 07895 849 731, or Westlodge on 01708 222 730.
