Outgunned: Arsenal eye Irons targets Remy and Bony

West Ham will have to fight off the attentions of London rivals Arsenal if they want to land either QPR forward Loic Remy or Vitesse Arnhem hitman Wilfried Bony this summer, the Daily Star are reporting this morning.

Hammers boss Sam Allardyce has been credited with an interest in both Remy and Ivory Coast star Bony, who they have reportedly held talks with, but could be set to be gazumped by the North London side.

West Ham co-chairman David Sullivan stated yesterday the club's intention to sign 'at least one' proven goalscorer and whilst on loan Liverpool striker Andy Carroll is believed to be the club's top transfer target, Allardyce is known to be considering alternatives should the deal for the England man fall through and is said to be keeping a close eye on both Remy and Bony.
