West Ham co-chairman David Sullivan has become the club's majority shareholder after purchasing a controlling interest in the club.
Sullivan had previously been an equal partner in the Upton Park club with business partner David Gold, but now owns 55.6% of West Ham after purchasing a further 25% in shares from CB Holdings, which had controlled the club after former chairman Bjorgolfur Gudmundsson was declared bankrupt.
The former Birmingham owner's investment is said to be part of a restructuring plan for the club's £25.5m debt, while Gold owns 30% of WH Holdings, the Hammers' parent company and CB Holdings' stake in the club has been cut to 10%.

Olympic poll results show '85% of fans back move'
The results from the SMG YouGov supporter consultation on West Ham's proposed move to the Olympic Stadium in 2016 have returned and in a resounding victory for the club's board, the statistics shows that 85% of fans who took the poll support the move to Stratford.
A further 10% said that they would potentially back the move but required more information, and 50% said that they supported the move because 'they believe it will provide the resources to improve the squad and build the club.'
These results are perhaps not surprising, given how the questionnaire was set up. With multiple choice questions requiring fans to rate various aspects of the move at various levels of importance and then no further questions delving further into those concerns that fans may have had about specific aspects of the move, the result could in a lot of senses be said to be a foregone conclusion as soon as the questionnaire was launched.
Around 12,000 supporters took the questionnaire- just over a third of the number who regularly attend home games currently.
The purpose of the questionnaire should also perhaps be called into question, given co-chairman David Sullivan's previous comment that '85% of fans support the move,' even before the supporter consultation was launched. The wisdom of 'consulting' fans on the issue after the decision had already been made to move is also a controversial topic for many supporters.
Vice-chairman Karren Brady declared herself 'delighted' at the results and said that the club must now 'engage further' with the 10% who have requested further information about the move.

Hammers confirm 'fantastic' news of Allardyce stay
West Ham have this afternoon confirmed the news reported to you by Blowing Bubbles earlier today that manager Sam Allardyce has signed a new two year deal at the club.
The news was last night broken by co-chairman David Sullivan's son Jack on Twitter but an official statement has now been made by the club, and both Sullivan and his co-chairman David Gold have told of their happiness at retaining the services of the former Bolton, Newcastle and Blackburn manager.
"This is fantastic news for West Ham United," Gold said today. "Sam has made a hugely positive impact since joining the club nearly two years ago. We [originally] chose to recruit Sam because we knew he would bring discipline, determination, passion and respect to Chadwell Heath and he has delivered on all fronts. It is obvious that Sam is respected by all the players and the relationships that exist throughout the club are some of the best I've seen in my 20 years in football. We can now look forward to the next few years with optimism and I am already excited about our plans for the 2013/2013 season.
David Sullivan was equally elated but somewhat unsurprisingly, could not resist moulding his praise for Allardyce around a strong Olympic Stadium theme.
"I am delighted that we have reached an agreement to extend Sam Allardyce's stay at West Ham United," said Sullivan.
"We have a very real possibility of achieving a top ten finish this season, which would exceed all our expectations and be a fantastic achievement for a newly-promoted side. With Sam's future now secured and our Premier League survival guaranteed for next season, Sam will now have the exciting challenge of building a squad that will befit a team playing in the Olympic Stadium."
"With a highly-rated manager, a stunning new home and two high-profile sponsorship agreements announced in the last few months, these are extremely exciting times for West Ham United."
The Irons do, of course, have a game to play up at Everton in just over an hour, and Allardyce will want to celebrate with a win. We'll get you some team news as it comes through.

Sam's the man for West Ham: Hammers boss pens new two year deal
West Ham manager Sam Allardyce has signed a new contract which will see him stay at the Upton Park club till at least May 2015, Blowing Bubbles can confirm.
The news was broken on Twitter yesterday evening by co-chairman David Sullivan's 13 year old son Jack, always a reliable source of info about the inner workings of the club, with particular regard to contracts and transfers.
The young Sullivan tweeted last night, 'BIG SAM has signed his new contract today and committed his future to WHU. We'll now crack on and sign some players. #coyi #westham'.
Hammers co-chairman David Gold stated last month that an announcement would be made regarding Big Sam's new deal as soon as Premier League survival was secured, and Sunderland's 1-1 draw with Stoke earlier this week cemented the club's place in the top flight for 2013/2014.
There has been no official confirmation from the club as of yet, but we understand that an announcement will be made in the next 24 hours by the club to officially confirm what is big news for Irons fans, with Allardyce's future having been somewhat up in the air over the last few months and rumours circulating about the 59 year old's future at the club.
We'll keep you bang up to date with any developments and will get you official confirmation and reaction on this as it happens.

Proven goalscorer plus four more through Boleyn Ground doors this summer, says Sullivan
West Ham co-chairman David Sullivan has said that he intends to bring five new signings to the club this summer as the Hammers aim to consolidate Premier League survival next season.
"Our planning has already started to make sure that next season is even better than this one," Sullivan told TalkSport.
"Our aim for the coming season is to bring in four or five players that will strengthen the squad and give Sam Allardyce greater options and variety next season.. a crucial factor in that is recruiting the right players in the right positions. We will be aiming to bring in at least one proven goalscorer to bolster our attacking threat."
Co-chairman David Gold revealed last month that the club would be likely to pursue an entirely new transfer policy this coming summer than the one pursued last summer after promotion to the Premier League, which revolved largely upon signing seasoned top flight professionals such as James Collins and Matt Jarvis.
This summer's transfer policy, according to Gold, is one which will be based around signing 'young, stronger players,' and the media speculation in recent days has reflected that claim, with the Irons being linked with Birmingham star Nathan Redmond and Heerenveen hotshot Alfred Finnbogason.
