No Hammers offer for Chadli, say Twente

By Alex Shilling, News Editor

Dutch club FC Twente have today confirmed that no English clubs have made an offer for their Belgium international winger Nacer Chadli.

West Ham, along with London rivals Tottenham and Capital One Cup winners Swansea were all linked with the player last week but according to the Dutch side, only the Swans have made an offer for Chadli- which he rejected.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Twente chairman Joop Munsterman said today: "So far only Swansea and Shakhtar [Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk] have made concrete offers, and are still options, even though Nacer has opted not to go to them. We hope for some clarity this week."

West Ham manager Sam Allardyce was reported to have made an inquiry for Chadli but nothing more and the Irons' chances of landing the player seem distant as it is understood that the young Belgian is holding out for a move to Spurs, with the attraction of European football a consideration.

Hammers eye cut price move for spurned Spur Dempsey

By Alex Shilling, News Editor

West Ham are poised to make a move for transfer-listed Tottenham forward Clint Dempsey, Blowing Bubbles understands

The USA international has fallen out of favour at White Hart Lane and has been put out in the cold by Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas.

West Ham manager Sam Allardyce is believed to be in the market for a pacy striker to play off the shoulder of Andy Carroll, and former Fulham favourite Dempsey could fit the bill- particularly after the club's prospects of signing Chelsea youngster Romelu Lukaku took a heavy blow after the 20 year was included in the Blues' 25-man squad for their pre season tour of Thailand.

The Hammers are believed to be looking at cut price or loan deals when it comes to concluding their summer transfer business, having spent a substantial chunk of their transfer budget on £16m Carroll.

Hammers want Parker to be their loan star

By Alex Shilling, News Editor

West Ham are eyeing up a move to bring former talisman Scott Parker back to East London on loan, according to the Mirror.

The 32 year old has struggled with injuries since his £5m deadline day move to Tottenham after the Hammers' relegation in 2011, and even when fit, has been in and out of the Spurs team.

QPR boss Harry Redknapp is also keen on bringing the Lambeth-born dynamo to his club and was yesterday said to be readying a £2m bid for Parker.

Having splashed the cash on England striker Andy Carroll and having had a £6.7m bid for Colombia U20 star Duvan Zapata accepted by Argentine club Estudiantes, the Hammers can only stretch to a loan move for the former Charlton star but the idea of remaining in the top flight and returning to a ground where he played some of the best football of his career may appeal to Parker more than dropping down a division with the R's.

Bony chase on: striker to meet with three Premier League sides next week

The speculation surrounding the future of Vitesse Arnhem striker Wilfried Bony has hotted up today as one of the Ivory Coast's international's agents has today confirmed that his client is currently 'in good demand' and that they will be holding talks with a number of clubs in the coming weeks- starting with an unnamed London club next weekend.

The powerful forward stated last weekend that he believed he had played his last game for Vitesse and left speculation about his future wide open.

West Ham were reported to have held talks with the pacy frontman in March and are still very much on his tail, but will have to fight off stiff competition if they want to land him, Bony's agent has said today.

Francis Cacou today told Dutch newspaper Algemeen Dagblad: "We have had more than one conversation with Anzhi [Makhachkala, Russian side who tried to sign Bony earlier in the season] and we now know what approximately they want to pay. After wages, bonuses and commission we will talk again."

"I have to say we also spoke with a German side last week and the next weekend we will be at a London side."

Sky Sports are reporting that Bony and his representatives will meet with 'at least three' Premier League sides next week- Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham, Chelsea, Everton and Fulham as well as the Hammers have all been linked with the 24 year old in the two months.

Golden Bhoy Gary to swap Hoops for Hammers?

Rumour has it this morning that Celtic striker Gary Hooper is primed to make a summer switch to the Boleyn Ground.

The former Scunthorpe star turned out alongside Hammers stars Kevin Nolan, Andy Carroll and Matt Jarvis on the Cole XI in a memorial game for Irons academy graduate Mitchell Cole and now the powerful 25 year old is being strongly linked with a move to the Boleyn Ground, after a hugely prolific season in Scotland where the former Hereford loanee amassed 29 goals in all competitions.

West Ham's Premier League rivals Norwich made three unsuccessful bids to sign the well-travelled forward in January, and Tottenham have been linked with Hooper in the past. However, with Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas turning his attention to Athletico Madrid's Falcao, the North London side look likely to drop out of the race to prise Hooper away from Celtic Park.

Should the Hammers want to bring the Celtic hitman to East London, their main competition would likely come from newly-relegated Queens Park Rangers, with R's boss Harry Redknapp ready to splash out £6m on the striker this summer, according to the Daily Mirror.

Friend or Defoe? Allardyce mulls over shock return for Tottenham striker

Rumour has it that West Ham are considering a £7m bid to bring former striker Jermain Defoe back to the Boleyn Ground.

The England striker has scored 11 Premier League goals this season but Spurs manager Andre Villas-Boas has made clear his desire to bring attacking reinforcements to White Hart Lane this summer, with Brazilian forward Falcao believed to be in his sights, and so first team chances could be limited for the 30 year old Defoe.
Ex Hammer Defoe swapped East London for North London in January 2004 in a move that saw £7m and Bobby Zamora head in the opposite direction and has struggled to establish himself in the first team at Tottenham and left for Portsmouth in January 2009 before returning a few months later.

As such, this is not the first time this story has cropped up; it has been bubbling for some years, seeemingly whenever Defoe's first team chances are limited at Spurs and whenever the Irons are on the lookout for a striker. A return for the Beckton-born centre forward would be seen as an unpredecented move, given the history between Defoe and the Hammers- the striker is roundly booed by West Ham fans, unhappy at what is perceived as a lack of loyalty on the player's part, whenever he plays against their team.

Blowing Bubbles understands that Andy Carroll is the club's number one transfer target this summer and Sam Allardyce would only consider a move for Defoe if signing Carroll was out of the question. One to watch, in the meantime.

Unbeatable Irons girls do the double

In a day of mixed news for West Ham fans, Blowing Bubbles can report positive news- involving a trophy.

While the senior men's side crashed 2-0 at Everton in a dismal, characteristically end-of-season West Ham performance after the announcement from the club less than two hours before kick off that manager Sam Allardyce had signed a new deal at the club, the Hammers' U11 girls side did significantly better; a lot better, in fact.

Lee Yeates has achieved great things with his inexperienced but talented side this season and, after wrapping up the league title, eight points clear of 2nd-placed Writtle Minors, the girls today defeated local rivals Upminster Park Rovers in the Essex County Cup final and in doing so, achieved the unique feat of going through the whole season unbeaten.

"This season has been just incredible, for everyone involved with the U11s," Yeates told Blowing Bubbles.

It's been a great season for the Irons U11 girls, having beaten both Tottenham and Millwall by double figure scores, but both the league and cup double and the feat of going through the whole season unbeaten resembles a resounding triumph for manager Yeates. Much of the side's success this season has been down to the form of top scorer Poppy Binding, who has scored an incredible 51 goals this term in just 16 appearances, but the whole team have played with passion, pride and commitment and deserve all the plaudits they get.

Fab Ab wants City assurances or will push for move- Irons on red alert

Reported West Ham target Abdisalam Ibrahim wants assurances from Manchester City that he is a part of their future, or he will look for a way out of the club, the Daily Star report today.

Hammers boss Sam Allardyce is a long-term admirer of the man dubbed 'the next Patrick Vieira,' and was accredited with an interest in the 22 year old in March.

Big Sam will, however, have to fight off competition for Ibrahim if he wants to land the Norway U21 international, with Premier League rivals Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool, Everton, Swansea, Aston Villa, West Brom and Fulham and Championship promotion hopefuls Brighton all reportedly interested in the midfielder.
