Ambrosini move on- Milan star's agent confirms Hammers interest

The agent of Massimo Ambrosini has this afternoon confirmed that West Ham have made a bid to sign the AC Milan captain, the Daily Mail has heard.
Moreno Moggis said: "There is interest from other clubs. West Ham? The interest is real, but first he'll sit down with [Milan vice-president Adriano] Galliani. Milan is like a family for him and it is right that the decision on his future is made jointly."

Several MLS clubs are rumoured to be interested in signing the 35 year old, while Ambrosini himself had previously expressed a desire to end his career with Il Rosserini.

Massimo attack: Irons launch stunning bid for Milan star Ambrosini

In comfortably the juiciest piece of transfer gossip this morning, West Ham have made a bid to sign AC Milan captain Massimo Ambrosini, according to TalkSport.

The former Italy international has won everything in Italy, including four Serie A titles and two Champions Leagues and at the age of 35, is now said to be on the lookout for a new challenge and could be tempted by a move to the Premier League, with his contract at the San Siro up next month.

The Hammers are believed to have offered the former Italy international a two year deal but will have to fight off competition from the MLS in order to land Ambrosini, with several US sides said to be keen on him.

The midfielder will have talks with Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani next week to talk about his options, after which his future will likely become much clearer.
