Roots Hall fits the Bilel for Mohsni: Hammers target happy at Southend- or is he?

West Ham summer target Bilel Mohsni has said he is happy at League Two outfit Southend United, despite his anger at not being allowed to move to a Premier League club- believed to be West Ham- before the close of the transfer window in August.

The 25 year old told Sky Sports that "a Premier League club came in for me, with the chance to play against teams like Manchester United, but the chairman said 'no.' I understand why he did it, but I had no say in it and I was very upset."

The hot-headed Frenchman has earnt a controversial reputation for himself so far in Essex and after being frozen out of the first team reckoning for nine months by Shrimpers manager Paul Sturrock and being sent out on loan to Championship side Ipswich Town, he made his comeback against Northampton Town on Saturday- but was sent off for a terrible tackle after only 27 minutes. Mohsni says that he "wants to show the fans that I've turned the page" but if his performance at the weekend is anything to go by, his mind is anything but concentrated on life at Southend. One worth keeping tabs on.
