Irons pair back soon: Macca close to return and Collins set to start against Spurs

West Ham defensive pair George McCartney and James Collins are both close to a first team return from injury, according to TalkSport. Welsh centre half Collins has been out of action with a hamstring injury since the 3-0 defeat by Sunderland last month and- as revealed by Blowing Bubbles earlier this week- is set to make a comeback against Tottenham on the 25th. Neither player travelled to Dubai with the rest of the squad as they worked on their rehabilitation from injury, and Hammers' Head of Sports Medicine Andy Rolls said today that McCartney "had an operation on his knee and is now running in straight lines," in addition to confirmation from co-chairman David Gold today that Collins is "back in full training." Welcome back lads!
